Motiva Port Arthur Refinery Expansion Project

Project Overview

The Motiva Crude Expansion Project will increase the Port Arthur refinery's crude oil throughput capacity to 600,000 b/d, making it the largest refinery in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world.  Motiva awarded a contract to Bechtel/Jacobs Joint Venture as the Managing Contractor.  The Project is expected to generate more than $17 billion in new economic development in Port Arthur, Jefferson County, and the Golden Triangle of Southeast Texas.  The Project is committed to using this as an opportunity to leave a lasting impression on the local community.  We will do this working together not only as a "good neighbor" but a partner in providing opportunities to local contractors, suppliers as well as providing potential employment to local residents.
